As the Supreme Court considers the case of McDonald v. Chicago (summary) it’s likely the verdict will uphold Chicagoans’ right to bear arms.The problem is that Supreme Court will most likely use the 14th amendment to uphold the people’s right to bear arms, as outlined by the 2nd amendment.
A win is a clear victory for gun rights, but it does establish a precedent of Federal intrusion into state matters.
Sometimes, I wish I could have it both ways.
